PractIcal Pistol

This course is designed to build upon your skills and take your proficiency to the next level. The target audience of the course is the law enforcement/military operator or new into the USPSA/IDPA competition world who is looking to improve their speed, marksmanship and gun handling skills. We will stress speed and accuracy while covering handgun manipulation skills that will enable the shooter to more effectively use their pistol. Students will learn self-diagnostics to continue development of their own personal performance, how to practice and tracking one’s own skill level. This course emphasizes practical application of the fundamentals to enhances your overall competence with a pistol and build a solid foundation for the future.

    • Firearms safety

    • Practical application of the fundamentals

    • Proficiency in draw process

    • Weapons reloads and malfunctions

    • Movement

    • Timed drills and standards

    • Serviceable semi-auto pistol of 9mm or larger caliber

    • Quality belt with outside waistband holster strong side or appendix holster and magazine pouch

    • At least 3 magazines

    • 450 rounds of ammunition

    • Comfortable clothing (weather appropriate)

    • Eye and ear protection

    • Water, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray

  • Duration: 8 hours

    Class Prerequisites:

    • U.S. Citizen.

    • Able to legally carry a firearm.

    • Able to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during courses of fire.

    • Previously taken Intro Pistol 2 or other firearms training to include courses of fire where your were required to show safe weapons handling, and safely drawing from a holster.

  • STS courses are not eligible for refunds within 30 days of the originally scheduled course date. In the event that STS reschedules a course due to an obligation the 30-day policy shifts to the newly scheduled date. If the refund is requested more than 30 days from the scheduled course date, the buyer will be given a course credit to use on a future course.     Merchandise refunds & exchanges:
    You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. Your item must be unworn and in the condition that it was received. Unless the item is damaged the item will be shipped at the buyer's expense. If the buyer would like to exchange the item for another size or item of equal value the item will be returned at the buyer's expense.
